shrimp arrabbiata pasta
ingredients:
8oz of pasta of choice
salt
1 tbsp of olive oil
1lb of shrimp
salt and pepper, to taste
spicy arrabbiata sauce (recipe)
handful of fresh basil, roughly chopped, optional
shaved parmesan cheese, optional
supplies:
stock pot (for cooking pasta)

directions:
bring a stock pot with water to a boil to cook the pasta. once the water is boiling, season the water heavily with salt, and add the pasta in. cook the pasta according to the package.
while the pasta cooks, cook the shrimp. in a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. once the pan is hot, add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper to taste. once the shrimp are cooked, add the arrabbiata sauce in with the shrimp to warm through. lower the heat to keep warm until the pasta is ready.
once the pasta is cooked, drain. feel free to mix in the skillet with the sauce or serve separately. serve immediately with chopped basil and shaved parmesan on top, if desired.
